Basically, Christianity is a very straightforward faith that matches very well with how our conscience works, but a discussion about Christianity can become complicated at times, because Christians feel compelled to defend the truth of the Bible against an ever-growing list of half-truths and flat-out lies that have been spread about it over the ages, not in the least by so-called science (non-observational science), but also by Christian organizations or institutions that have strayed from the core teachings of Jesus Christ and now sometimes even teach theories that are contrary to what Jesus taught, and try to justify these theories using complex underpinnings.
This is nothing new, however, as in the same manner the devil in Genesis 3 started all this by speaking the very first of these half-truths by insinuating that it was God’s plan to keep humans dumb, so that He alone could rule over them.
Therefore, my scream to you would be to not let yourself be fooled by these vague allegations, which have become many and ever-changing, but find out for yourself what the real truth is.
The message of Jesus and the Bible is not so complicated. It says we should repent (that is, turn away from our selfish lifestyle) and believe in what Jesus did on the cross for us, that He is God in human flesh who sacrificed Himself to pay for all our sins (past, present, and future), if only we trust in Him, and admit that His sacrifice was indeed needed to wash away our sins. And believe also that He rose from the dead, thereby showing to us that He is God.
See its core message in John 3:16 and surrounding text, as well as in John 3:36. (Note: You can already see some of it when moving your mouse over the links.)
The discussions get complicated when more and more people start to distrust what is being stated in the Bible, especially when they are not really open to the truth, but are only out to undermine what the Bible says, because they wanna decide for themselves what is a sin, and what is not (shifting morals).
